About Tifton
Troy University’s Tifton site evolved out of five previous cohorts being conducted during 2005 and 2006. An invitation was extended to us from the City of Tifton and the Tifton Chamber of Commerce to become part of the economic and educational development of the city and surrounding communities. We officially opened our doors on February 14th, 2007 but the actual work began in June 2006 in a temporary office space given to us at the Work Force Center while renovations were in progress on our permanent location. Our building is located in the middle of the downtown historical district at the intersection of US Highways 82 and 41. We began by offering the Master of Science in Management degrees and in March 2008 we offered our first in-class classes in the Associate and Bachelor degree programs. Our personal site goals include being the best of the best in the student services areas and making Troy University a household name in higher education. On July 25th, 2007 the City of Tifton issued a proclamation to Dr. David White, Director of the Southeast Region, declaring July 25th – Troy Day in Tifton.
Tifton is a TROY eCampus Service Support Center providing services to students taking courses offered through TROY's eCampus.
